LG packed and shipped a knowingly damaged unit

Being disabled I need a pedestal to elevate my washing machine so I can unload it. LG took more than two weeks to deliver the pedestal and when it arrived the shipping carton was in perfect condition and the front drawer of the pedestal had a huge dent in it That means somebody PACKED IT KNOWING IT WAS DAMAGED Now I have to wait two MORE weeks before I can do my laundry When I called to request a discount on the price of it for all the hassle and wasted time the company was causing the customer service rep refused and told me to email corporate. I told the rep I wanted to speak to his supervisor but was told that none was available and Id have leave my name and maybe someone could call me back in a few days. When I told the rep to call corporate himself and arrange for some compensation for the companys willful negligence in packing an obviously damaged unit he said he sent an email and it was up to me to check back every day to see if his email got a response. RIDICULOUS DO NOT ORDER DIRECTLY FROM LG UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Ordered two pedestals in Nov. Advised they were shipped. Week later still had not received.
Canceled order after talking with customer service.which was no help at all
They were charged to my credit card so now I am trying to get charges reversed. Terrible company to do business with

Great product. I have a bad back and these make the washer/dryer the perfect height. The guy who installed them was the best He was so kind and did such a great time. I hope LG sends him all of their work

The pedestals that I purchased with my LG washer drier set are excellent They fit and match both units perfectly and allow more storage space as well.In addition my wife is handicaped and these pedestals make it much easier to load and unload both the washer and drier I would call them ADA compliant So glad we opted to add them to our purchase

This drawer with laundry basket is a game changer I love being able to throw our dirty clothes on one side of the pedestal and grabbing our clean clothes out of the dryer for the second one. I previously had the sidekick and did not like the mini wash cycles at all. I am glad I switched.

I notice people commenting they cant store bottles of detergent/fabric softener in the drawer. One of the charms of a pedestal is that you dont have to bend over as much. Why would you want to put bottles of detergent/fabric softener which can be quite heavy when full in the drawer where you have to bend over to pick them up.

Normal sized bottles of detergent and fabric softener dont fit. You made it too shallow. Your opening is only 10 and 3/4 tall. My normal everyday bottles are 11 plus. POOR oversight on your part. Somebody should be fired for that.

I got 2 pedestals with my new washer and dryer set and its a must have. Especially as a tall person it helps to not have to bend over so far.
Only comment is that I wish there was a similar less pricey option without the drawer since I dont use the drawer.

You pull the drawer open as you transfer the wash into the dryer. If anything falls it winds up in the basket instead of on the floor. Great design.

I bought the washer/dryer set from Costco but for some reason I couldnt get the pedestals that go along with them so I came here and got them directly from LG. They are steady sturdy and heavy.
Setting them up was fairly easy except I did need help from others because the washer/dryer are so heavy I couldnt lift them myself. The installers didnt want to help because I didnt buy the pedestals from Costco but that is a separate story.
Hear me now if you are going to get front load machines then I would strongly advise getting pedestals. You get storage for stuff and more importantly you dont need to bend down as much to load and unload the machines. If you are on the shorter side maybe that is not an issue for you but it is for me.
These units are very nice and as I said earlier strong and sturdy. I like the extra storage they afford as well. Do yourself a favor and splurge on a set of pedestals.
