5 years then died....

I have had my dishwasher for 5 years. It was quiet. It did the job. I loved it and the little melody to alert you was cute. However after having it for 1 year and 1 month it went haywire and hasnt worked since. I know appliances arent made to last and are certainly not made like they used to but this was a disappointment. The dishwasher does have a 10 year warranty however the service was not helpful and we are still out of a dishawasher.

Piece of crap since the day i purchased it 4 years ago. I have replaced the control panel 3 times. The comoany dmt want to help i called 5 days after i purchased with issues and they wouldnt help and best buy didnt want to help either. I am working 2 jobs got 3 kids and have to know buy a new dishwasher and a control panel again juat so i have time to sit for 20mins.

Great for the price

Dishwashers last on average about10-12 years so when ours wouldnt function correctly and it was 11 years old we knew it was time. This dishwasher got good reviews and had a great price so we purchased it from Lowes. It was fairly simple to hook up the drain hose was connected on the left side with plenty of hose to reach under the sink. The water hook could have been a little better designed but after looking at it I realized the brass elbow could be put on the water line and then connected to the dishwasher instead of the other way around. But the thing I really liked was the four legs underneath so the electrical wire slid easily under the unit making the wiring simple. The controls are on the top of the door and very simple to understand. Ive accidently hit the start button while loading dishes but it needs to be pressed twice so it shuts off after about a minute. My wife loves the small flat tray above the top rack where we can put spatulas tongs and other flat utensils. There is plenty of space for cups bowls and dishes. It has cleaned everything we have tossed at it.

This dishwasher has a known design defect that LG is aware of but doesnt stand behind its product. The control board goes bad after 18 months on average due to moisture intrusion and LG basically said too bad its out of warranty

Do not buy Noisy and does not last long

Our dishwasher was very loud since we bought it. We only run it at night because its too loud when we are watching TV or trying to have a conversation. It kept getting louder so I finally called LG to come fix it its just over 3 years old. They fixed the motor noise but now it has no power. By the time I pay for all of the repairs I could have just bought a nicer newer non LG dishwasher.

The pump started making noise 6 months after I bought it then went out when the labor part of the warranty was out. What it was going to cost to repair even with a free pump from LG wasnt worth it. I had bought all LG for my kitchen and regret it. Fridge went out first then dishwasher and the door on the microwave is coming apart now.

Ive had this dishwasher for 5 years and have liked it a lot. But the electronic control panel needed to be replaced recently. The part was covered under warranty but I dont think it shouldve died so soon and the labor was costly.

I hate this dishwasher. The front control panel is super annoying because people are *constantly* turning it on and off by accident. It washes finewhen it works. The soap dispenser fails to open about a third of the time. After a few years it suddenly stopped working could not get any help on the phone finally got it working again on our own only to have it die again a few months later. Will never buy another LG appliance our LG microwave was purchased at the same time and is also starting to fail already.

The dishwasher was in the house when we moved in. Works as it should. Had some minor difficulty getting it to run once because the child lock was on. The directions to get the lock off are not very good to understand. Nothing customer service couldnt help me with. One complaint would be that it isnt compatible with iPhone so the smart feature cant be used like on my other appliances.

Constant leaking issues from the start there is no fix for it other than to remove leaked water from tray under dishwasher. Unit is 3 years old and has had to been worked on every 4-8 weeks. Pump has burnt up twice solenoids have gone bad a few times and control board has failed. Dont buy htis

I purchased this 2 months ago. Worst dishwasher Ive ever owned. Bottom rack goes off track when pulled out. Utensil baskets handle is in the middle making it difficult to load unload. Dishes r difficult to load. Whoever designed this has obviously never used a dishwasher on a daily basis. You need people who actually load dishes to design your dishwasher. On the up side it does get dishes clean is quiet. I own all lg appliances and absolutely love all of the with the exception of the dishwasher.

I thought I would love LG brand anything...boy was I wrong I will probably never buy an LG product again I have never had a dishwasher that runs for two hours and the dishes are still wet? My dishes get fairly clean so theres that but the effort to then hand dry a full dishwasher after it runs for 2 hours is not ideal nor is it saving me time or money. The rack coating has split on both racks after not even two years of use. The racks are split rusted and disintegrating and Im waiting for the day I pull the rack out and it just falls apart. Its probably not good for us but we never had anything like this happen in all of my years of dishwashers and the warranty was up so what does a person do but live with this complete and utterly horrible dishwasher. We bought this brand new this is a true testament by real owners of just one of many crappy LG product we own.

Not drying correctly

Unfortunately this dishwasher that is 3 years old started showing the be error code and stopped drying our dishes. Despite going through the throubleshooting guide from LG the condition is getting worst.

AVOID - Racks Rust After Just a Few years

This is a decent washer but its performance is moot. After just a few short year of use the top rack tines started breaking off. Faced with buying a replacement rack that appears to be built using the same inferior materials. Many other consumers have reported this same issue. The cause is attributed to fine cuts or chips in the rack coating allowing water to infiltrate the wire below. What an absolute design failure for an otherwise decent appliance.

An okay dishwasher with some flaws

Its not horrible but not a great value either. Weve had this a few years now use it daily and the top and bottom rack have already rusted. The plastic top of the door is cracked. Thankfully LG sent a bottom rack because that one was in the worst shape but the top rack is still rusted and top of door is still cracked. I would say its average in terms of capacity and cleaning. Our last dishwasher had a top/third rack and I really miss that. It is fairly quiet and the trays have parts that are movable so we can fit larger items. Thats pretty standard these days though.

I have owned this for just under 3 years. I have had to call for service 3 or 4 times during that period. In the first year the control panel had to be replaced. Before the second year I had to have another service I dont remember what but it wouldnt run a full cycle. Similar problem in the last 6 months and now an error code indicating a leak. I have never had this many problems with any appliance. I doubt I would buy another LG dishwasher because of it.

Brand new LG dishwasher. Worked one time. Called in a warranty repair. A tech came out. The motor was bad. LG shipped a new motor. Alerted the tech upon delivery. Tech came out installed new motor quickly and professionally. The tech was Don. Great guy.

Faulty control board

Garbage - Bad Product Dont Buy

This dishwasher is absolute garbage Came with a house we bought. Ours is a 2018 model and has been malfunctioning from when we moved in March 2020. It powers off mid-cycle with no error code weve tried all recommended fixes that we could do ourselves. The 1-year warranty means we need to bring in our own tech to fix. I have no confidence in LG. If I am buying a dishwasher to last 3 years Ill just buy a cheaper company. Ill never again purchase LG products...

The dishwasher has to be unplugged/reset every time. It stops in mid cycle. Its impossible to just turn it on and leave as it has to be watched for stopping and needing to hit start button. Will never buy another LG product.

We bought our LG products in late 2016. For the most part it was working great then about a year ago things started happening. The dishes were grimy we cleaned all the areas often before the issues started. Then the racks started rusting and coming apart.

This dishwasher cleans dishes very well but I also had the rusting issue that everyone else seems to have. I had read the reviews before and just figured they abused the dishwasher but we were extra gentle because of the known rust issue and still got the rust. We recently reached out to LG support via Facebook and their answer was here are the links to the part your dishwasher that is out of warranty. This dishwasher is less than 5 years old and I need to replace the 2 racks. I could buy the racks every 3 to 5 years for half the cost of the dishwasher new but I do not want to pay a subscription for my dishwasher. I will be sending this dishwasher to the landfill and never buy an LG dishwasher again. Honestly who makes rustable parts for the inside of a dishwasher? DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER

Great Dishwasher before and after technical diffic

We have owned this machine for about 2 or so years and it served us well every day until recently. Thankfully bought the extended warranty with it because around November the control panel started going crazy with flashing codes and it wouldnt complete an entire wash cycle. I had a tough time getting someone to help us get it fixed for several different reasons but eventually got the help we needed and after 3 months of messing around we finally were able to have a tech show up to diagnose the problem. It was a simple fix a week later and we are back to enjoying the quiet yet deep cleaning dishwasher once again. Glad I bought the warranty but super glad we bought LG.

How long should a dishwasher last...

I bought this dishwasher 5 years ago. The main board crashed less than 1 year from time of purchase. Luckily it was under a warranty but still a hassle to fix. Fast forward 4 years and we are experiencing the same type of electrical glitches. The advertised ThinQ app did not work. Nor could we ever get it to work. Both racks have rusted. It is not cost efficient to buy 2 new racks PLUS replace another mother board. Very disappointed in the quality of this machine. By the way dont expect great customer service from LG in trying to resolve issue. It is essentially a call center with not technical expertise
